Florida Move-Over Law.
Florida's Move-Over Law (Fla. Stat. §316.126) requires drivers to change lanes away from stopped emergency, utility, sanitation, road-maintenance, tow, or disabled vehicles on the shoulder — or slow to 20 MPH below the limit if lane change is impossible. 3 license points, typical totals $158–$258, and a 3-year insurance increase of +12% to +18%. Expanded in 2024 to cover ALL disabled vehicles displaying hazard lights. Defended for a flat $99. (2026)
